Recently, the Ministry of Commerce publicized the list of the key export name
brands of 2005-2006, of which Phoenix Bicycle produced by Phoenix Co.LTD. hit
the top in the only six brands of Shanghai. Phoenix Bicycle now has developed
into six categories, over 300 models and over 500 types, which are exported to
the countries and areas in Europe, America, Japan, Southeast Asia, East and West
Africa and mideast. In 2004, the company has exported 3,590,000 bicycles and
earned more than $150 million.

Last year,five major subsidiaries of Shanghai Light Industry Holding Group have now relocated to the district. The companies are Shanghai Double Happiness (Group) Corporation, Shanghai Toys I & E Corporation, Shanghai Leather Corporation, Shanghai Shenglong (Group) Corporation, and Phoenix Co., Ltd.
The ambitious bid of Jinshan to attract the enterprises of Shanghai will help to accelerate the industrial re-structuring in the district and create a sound win-win environment for the state owned, private as well as foreign funded enterprises.
