Shanghai Jinshan District
Government announced today that in order to integrate and create more
development possibilities, to realize a balanced regional advancement and to
help quicken the urbanization and modernization of the area, Jinshan District
will readjust its administrative divisions at a township level by changing the
previous 14 towns and one street into nine towns and one street. The Shanghai
Municipality has met these changes with approval:
-- Fengjing Town and Xingta Town
will be replaced by a new Fengjing Town;
-- Zhujing Town and Xinnong Town
is to be transformed into the new Zhujing Town;
-- Tinglin Town, Songyin Town and
Zhuxing Town are to be abolished and a new Tinglin Town constituted; and
-- Lvxiang Town and Ganxiang
Town will be replaced by Luxiang Town.
The new Fengjing Town, Zhujing
Town, Tinglin Town and Luxiang Town will located in their original
places.
Caojing Town, Shanyang Town,
Jinshanwei Town, Zhangyan Town, Langxia Town and Shihua Street will be
preserved.
After Zhuxing Town is abolished,
the Administrative Committee of Jinshan Industrial Park will exercise the
administrative function over the areas where the original Zhuxing Town was
located.
